About the Rater's Guild

   The Rater's Guild is not only about having someone you can turn to have your work rated, but to promote the rating system. The rating system may seem over complicated, but it's not. Just get out there and vote.

About the Rating System

   The simplest way to explain it is to say that you need nineteen friends who all vote the same with you on a single piece.
   A more detailed explanation. The rating system was cleverly designed to accommodate 20 people per submission. This means when you cast your vote it counts a one twentieth of the total score. You can vote in whole numbers, 0-9. A list below show what you could rate based on your personal opinion using frantic fan-girl talk.

Why Rating is Important?

   Some of you may be saying rating isn't that important. The truth is that rating is VERY important. If you rate someone's work, it can tell them what the general public (all the other members on Writersco) thinks of their work. Plus, it's a plain common courtesy.

Policy

   The Rater's Guild is here to help, not judge or make fun of. If at anytime, you feel your being harassed or mislead, please contact [Ash] to get this sorted out. Some may take the use of a friendly mod, so please save the message and we will take care of it as efficently as possible. Also note that just because someone says that you can do something better, it's not harassment, that's they're job. The rater, not the Rater's guild is responsible for any opinons and advice given during the rating.

Responsibility of the Rater's Guild User

The users responsibilty includes the following:
- To submit in the proper area of this page in the format shown.
- The work must follow ALL rules of Writersco. If the writing is mature, please put this warning up.

- At the bottom of you submission please put one or two sentences that explain what you would like to know about your submission through someone elses eyes.

Responsibility of the Raters

The raters responsibilty includes the following:
- To be kind, courteious and respectful at all times.
- Be poliet in in rating and always helpful.
- When commenting give as much useful advice as possible without undermining the author.
- When writing the comment, mention what score you are giving out of nine and why.
- Always link back to the Rater's Guild in each rating.
