waiting for her to stop shaking...
“I love you”s are exchanged,
a routine that always follows their love-making.
and sparkles across the surface of the ocean...
A soft breeze carries their words,
words that are filled with emotion.
pale against his hand...
Roaring waves crash down hard,
trying to claim the sand.
breathing in deep...
Inhaling the sea air, salt and wet sand,
he wishes this night was his to forever keep.
tight by his side...
They lay in silence until he looks down, smiles,
and asks “Will you be my bride?”
