NOTE: If you're offended by or just don't like homosexuality/ I see men and women everywhere - Walking on beaches, holding hands; But rarely do you see together, a man and a man, Or two women in love, who openly show it; For a woman and a woman, a man and a man, For those who do marry, have children, and together grow old; Deep down in my heart, in all honesty, These things that I rarely see and wish I could see more of. 2007-05-06 Eleanor: Ah, such a lovely sentiment. If only we lived in a perfect world. Nice work. 2007-05-06 Jenna Rose: Thank you. 2007-05-06 Annie: Hey, great poem, just wanted to let you know that on line 7 I think you meant two "women" not "woman." :) 2007-05-06 Jenna Rose: Thanks ^^ I thought I fixed that before I uploaded. 2007-05-08 Laika: More than courage it takes endless patience to explain over and over again why you don't like the opposite sex. x__X And tolerance for really, really insulting questions. I wonder why people don't get how big a part of me being a lesbian is. And now I'll stop ranting and spamming and get to school. :D 2007-05-08 Jenna Rose: People can be jerks/idiots. 2007-05-08 Laika: My daddy always says: "never blame malvolence for the acts of stupidity". Mostly people are just stupid or not thinking all the way through. (nice poem, btw. :D and it's provoking discussion!) 2007-05-21 Shadowsong: i thought it was awsome Jen. Love has no sex, it's good for us to step back and remember that.. 2007-05-21 Jenna Rose: I wouldn't call it awesome. I don't like that it rhymes anymore. o.o[Jenna Rose]: 150.Contest Entries.Ess - May 07

Written for the contest Ess for the May 07 round, with the theme of "sexual preference".
I'd like to state that this poem contains MY opinion and feelings. If it differs from yours, that's fine. If you don't like it, don't read and comment. I really don't want to hear "bashing" of this writing, homosexuals, gay marriage, and the like. Again, this is MY opinion. Don't be a rude a**hole about this writing - even if you don't agree!
Love Has No Gender
In love, together, without a care.
In churches, exchanging wedding bands.
Kissing on park benches where their love first began.
Not caring, letting anyone know it.
Weddings in churches? In many places, it’s banned!
I want you to know, to me your courage is worth more than gold.
These things are beautiful to me...
Gender? It doesn’t matter - what matters is love.
